Inclusive and Quality Education (IQE) program

The Inclusive and Quality Education (IQE) program aims to create a more equitable and inclusive learning environment for all children in Doti. By providing supplementary reading materials, the program seeks to create a print-rich environment that fosters a love of reading and learning. Additionally, the program trains teachers on screening practices to identify children who may require additional support or accommodations.

For children with special needs, the IQE program equips them with assistive devices and connects them with resource schools that can provide specialized support. The program also trains parents on inclusive and positive parenting practices to help them support their children’s education at home. To promote literacy and learning, the IQE program conducts literacy fairs and supports school enrollment campaigns.

To ensure that all children have access to a safe and supportive learning environment, the IQE program constructs and repairs disaster-resilient classrooms and equips classrooms with inclusive and child-friendly furniture. The program also trains teachers, SMC members, PTA members, and students on basic first aid to prepare them for emergencies.

To enhance the quality of education in the region, the IQE program supports the development of local curricula and education-related policies. It also works closely with schools to improve teaching practices and increase access to quality education at the basic level.

Finally, the IQE program recognizes the importance of health and well-being for learning. It conducts health screening camps to identify children who may require medical attention or support and provides referrals to appropriate services. By addressing both educational and health needs, the IQE program aims to create a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment for all children in Doti.
