Empowered Women, Prosperous Nepal (EWPN) Program
The project aims to address gender-based violence (GBV) against children, adolescents, and women in Sudurpashchim Province. It includes activities such as providing child-sensitive gender-responsive services to survivors of violence, conducting adolescent-led monitoring of GBV, and fostering dialogue among women, children, and adolescents on this issue. The project also advocates for child protection issues at the ward and Palika levels through advocacy meetings with elected representatives and the formation of adolescent girls’ networks. Additionally, it conducts safety audits and walks to advocate for child-focused GBV programs, provides training on Rupantaran social and financial skills packages, and supports the formation of Rupantaran watch groups. The project also conducts intergenerational dialogues on harmful gender norms and promotes community-level sensitization to speak up against gender discrimination and GBV.
